Priceless

This past weekend I had a garage sale with a co-worker of mine. Of course we were so excitied to get rid of all of our junk...."treasures" to others....and make a little money. It started at 7:00. The garage sale I had before a few years ago I had people waiting to "shop" 30 mintues before we were to "open". So Melissa and I were set and ready to go by 6:15. WELL.....around 7:00 we had not had the 1st shopper. We were getting a little worried.....had we set everything up nice and neat for no reason only to have to pick it all back up and throw it away? Finally, around 7:15 we had our 1st shopper....only to take a quick look and then get back in their car and leave. At this point Melissa and I looked at each other and said maybe our junk is NOBODY'S treasure! Of course we then decided it was only the weather (cold, windy, rainy) not our things for sale. Slowly shoppers starting coming and buying things....we were thrilled...less stuff for us to have to pick up and throw away, take the CCC, etc.
Melissa and I both being teachers are pretty organized. Our garage sale of course had "departments" baby, home goods, purses/handbags, books, Christmas, crafts, etc. Not only did we have departments we had everything displayed like a real store...yes, we have that boring of a life that we have time to do this. We were so pleased and when the shoppers starting noticing how organized it was. We had many comments that our garage sale was the best in town and that someone with interior decorating skills must have put everything out....hahaha
