Snowballs in Decatur?!

Every year I always have to explain to my students what snow is...since we NEVER have any here. I read as many books as possible to help them understand what it looks like, feels like, etc. This year it has actually snowed here two or three times so the children had a little bit better understanding of what snow was. After talking about it for a few days the students then bundled up in their jackets and hats and had a SNOWBALL FIGHT in our classroom! Teaching 4 and 5 year old children makes it easy for us pretend/imagine just about anything.
As you see they loved it.
